This standard provides minimum criteria for emergency services incident management. Such incident management systems are intended to provide structure, coordination, and effectiveness during emergency incidents to enhance safety and health of emergency response personnel, including fire, law enforcement, and emergency medical. This updated document includes new sections on Accountability and Incident Scene Rehabilitation and High Rise Incident Management. NFPA 1561 incorporates unified Command Concepts and references work done by the National Fire Incident Management Consortium.
